Thassos Snow White is a white marble with a crystalline structure and restrained mineral movement. In Between Sacred & Material, the stone is carved into substantial architectural and ritual elements, connecting material character to form.
Form & light
In Between Sacred & Material, the ark and tivah share the same white Thassos marble. Their proportions, carved depth and junctions define the ceremonial centre; gold-toned details provide contrast.
From architecture to object
The same marble is used for The Honor Stone, a handwashing basin designed for the project. Stone, water and metal detailing bring the material palette into everyday ritual.
